Introducing the Becoming a Value-Focused Organization Workshop
When listening to your organization’s leadership, what are they talking about? Or what are your organization’s goals and objectives for this budget year? Recognize any of the following?
Category A | Category B |
Cost savings | Value optimization |
Cost reduction | Value streams |
Cost avoidance | Value communication |
Greater efficiencies | Value management |
Doing more with less | Value measurements and targets |
When leaning more towards Category A, then your organization is NOT value focused. Your culture is characterized by top-down budgeting, us-and-them attitudes, a go-live is misinterpreted as value and strategy is designed by a few. In a value-focused culture, a value plan exists, a value framework exists, value meetings are conducted, and value is communicated and optimized. Sharing ownership of business results and strategy, assessment of business relationship maturity, outside-in plans and budgets, and controlled risks are just few more examples of what the value-focused organization acts like.
Becoming a Value-Focused Organization
The Becoming a Value-Focused Organization (BVFO) workshop complements the BRM Institute’s current BRM certification programs, BRMP® and CBRM®. It is also an addition to its Executive Brief, BRM Fundamentals and the Strategic Partnering Approach workshop. The workshop not only equips business relationship managers (BRMs), it is also a must-attend for anyone in a leadership position. History has shown that C-levels who take the time to attend, fully embrace the workshop’s concepts and take-aways and have turned around organizational cultures, with the help of BRMs.

Who Should Attend?
There are no prerequisites for this workshop. Participants do benefit from having participated in a BRMP Foundation course or are familiar with the BRMP Guide, however, this is not required.
The target audience are the business relationship managers (BRMs) or those who have taken on the responsibilities of this role. However, as stated earlier, we have experienced that the workshop is enormously beneficial for the organization’s leadership, which includes your business partners.
What makes this workshop unique is that whole BRM teams and leadership can participate and walk away with a team-based application of discovering, realizing, driving and optimizing value.
Workshop Facilitation
Only very few firms in the world can claim having BRM Institute-approved BVFO workshop facilitators on their team. INTERPROM is one of them. Our workshop facilitators are also BRM Institute-certified coaches. Our BRM coaches proudly carry the Registered Certified Provider (RCP) credential. What this means for you is that our guidance for BRMs and BRM teams is in good hands with us.
